HIV Testing & Counseling

We frequently are asked: “How often should I get HIV testing?” The answer is: “After any potential exposure!” Unlike most places, we offer 4th generation HIV screening via either a same-day 15 min. rapid fingerstick test or a blood draw with results completed within 24 hrs. The advantage of 4th generation testing is that it can identify the actual virus (antigen) which is often detectable much sooner than antibodies after a recent infection. We also offer counseling around HIV test results and can begin medical treatment quickly for those who are found to be HIV-positive.
